Dear Benefactors, Advocates and Supporters of Orthodoxy in Catholic Higher Education,
You will likely be reading this update at the beginning of the Season of Lent. Being a season of progressing in our vital quest of sanctification, which will ultimately allow us to one day be a part of the Church Glorified, we find ourselves in a time of profound reflection and purposeful change . Just what have we been blessed with while at the same time frankly asking ourselves just where we have failed? The mortification of our bodies is always a good place to begin, for by denying ourselves those things that our bodies crave the most we are reminded of our vulnerabilities, of where we are weakest, of what, therefore, needs to be strengthened. Ultimately, we find that what usually needs strengthening is our rational appetite, the will, and its ultimate reliance on seeking the will of our Heavenly Father...just what does Almighty God desire of us?
Our foundation's journey through this Lenten Season begins with a hearty thank you to all of our benefactors, for without you our quest would have been abandoned years ago. We are convinced that, in the academic realm, what we aspire to accomplish with the opening of the doors of the College of St. Athanasius represents the restoration of the Great Vocations, those vital livelihoods that work to strengthen and give meaning to our lives here on earth, allowing us to please God and to serve one another in our quest of sanctification, to love one another as He has loved us. We hope and pray that our labor may compel those of you who've yet to become benefactors to join us during this period of profound reflection and purposeful change. Please join us in this most vital cause.
This link allows you to examine our most recent Budgetary Estimates for the purchase and rehabilitation/preparation of the three buildings (shown in green text) that we have designated most appropriate for the start-up of the college, but the two buildings labeled numbers 1 and 2 are considered as vital to its opening. May these numbers help to persuade you to donate to our quest as suggested on the Donate link of our website or get to know us better by sending us an email through the Contact link provided. May God bless you in this sanctifying Season of Lent.
Sincerely Yours in the Kingship of Christ,
Timothy H. Bratt - Board of Directors Manager
